Geriatric Clinic
Americans are living longer and better than ever. The Census Bureau predicts the nation will have more than 1 million centenarians in 2050, up from 71,000 today. Improved control of infectious diseases and other advances in medicine and public health have resulted in an increase of life expectancy. In response to the needs and demands of an older population, Centennial Medical Center at Ashland City announces the opening of a new Geriatric Clinic aimed at helping adults over the age of 60 lead healthier and more satisfying lives.
Most patients suffer from anxiety, depression and memory impairment. Anxiety, stress and depression are often brought on by retirement, change in health status, relocating, or caring for loved ones, said Centennial Medical Center at Ashland City Geriatric Psychiatry Services Clinic Director Whitney Simmons.
Our knowledgeable staff at the Geriatric Clinic provides:
- Evaluation and Diagnosis of Mental Health Illnesses
- Psychiatric Medication Management
- Family Therapy
- Marital Therapy
- Group Therapy
- Individual Therapy
